New Rates Effective April 2026
We are a not-for-profit, member-owned cooperative and we strive every day to hold down costs while still providing the reliable, quality service you expect. Unfortunately, we are currently facing a rate increase that originated with M&A Power Electric Cooperative, our primary wholesale power supplier, driven by increasing demand for energy and higher costs to generate it. We don’t take this rate increase lightly and have done everything possible to minimize the impact on you, our member-owners. However, to continue providing reliable and high-quality service, we must implement a one-half cent ($0.005) increase to the per kWh rates that will take effect starting April 2026. For the average residential member using 500 kWh per month, the increase will amount to $2.50 per month. There will be no changes to the service availability base charge. We remain committed to working with our member-owners to minimize the impact of increasing power costs on your household. Contact us to learn how to save more energy throughout your home or follow us on Facebook and Instagram where we share energy saving tips. We also offer pay-as-you-go services and budget billing. Contact our office at 573-757-6641 for more information about our services. The full rate schedule for the various service types can be found on the Electric Rates page.
