🌟 Apply Now for the 2026 Electric Cooperative Youth Programs! Youth Tour (Juniors) & CYCLE Program (Juniors & Sophomores) Theme: Make Your Mark More than 250 years ago, America’s founding fathers signed the Declaration of Independence and set in motion a legacy of leadership that shaped our nation. Today, the Electric Cooperative Youth Tour and NRECA’s youth programs continue that tradition by equipping young people with the skills, confidence, and cooperative values to lead the next generation. The theme "Make Your Mark" encourages students to discover the power of community-minded leadership—and we’re excited to invite local students to take part. 🔵 What Is Youth Tour? (Juniors) The Youth Tour sends high school juniors from across Missouri to Washington, D.C., for an unforgettable week of learning, leadership, and sightseeing. Students meet their congressional representatives, visit national monuments, and connect with young leaders from across the country. To apply, students must submit an essay and application form. ➡️ Youth Tour Flyer 🔵 What Is the CYCLE Program? (Sophomores and Juniors) CYCLE—Cooperative Youth Conference and Leadership Experience—brings Missouri sophomores to Jefferson City for a hands‑on leadership conference. Students learn about state government, cooperative principles, and how to lead with purpose—while building friendships and confidence. To apply, students must submit an essay and application form.➡️ CYCLE Flyer ✍️ How to Apply 1. Write Your 'Make Your Mark' Essay Essay Prompt: “Make Your Mark: Drawing on the leadership ideals sparked by the Declaration of Independence, describe a real problem or opportunity in your school or community that you would tackle using cooperative values. Explain what actions you would take, who you would involve, and how you would measure success.” Length: 500 words 2.
